Self-Adhesive Bituminous Membrane (1.5 mm): Features a factory-applied pressure-sensitive adhesive layer protected by a release liner. Cold-applied without heat, making it ideal for enclosed spaces, basements, and fire-sensitive environments.

What is the difference between torch-on and self-adhesive bituminous membrane?
Torch-on membrane (3mm or 4mm) is melted onto the surface with a gas torch, creating a fused, very durable bond that suits exposed roofs and heavy-traffic decks. Self-adhesive membrane (1.5mm) is cold-applied by peeling off a release liner, so no flame is needed, which makes it ideal for basements, wet areas and fire-sensitive or enclosed spaces.
Which thickness should I choose: 1.5mm, 3mm or 4mm?
Choose 1.5mm self-adhesive for basements, bathrooms and areas where open flame is not allowed. Choose 3mm torch-on for most residential roofs and terraces that will get a protective screed or tiles. Choose 4mm torch-on for exposed, commercial or industrial roofs that need maximum durability.
Can bituminous membrane be applied on an old, leaking roof?
Yes. On an existing roof the surface is cleaned, loose plaster and damaged areas are removed, cracks and joints are repaired, and a bituminous primer is applied before the membrane is installed. Proper preparation is the key to a leak-free result on old roofs.
