When working with cement-based products always wear eye protection and waterproof gloves.
Step 1:
Eliminate any unsound or flaking concrete from the repair zone using a hammer and chisel or with a masonry grinding disk and a portable drill.
Step 2:
Remove any loose material, oil as well as grease then clean the surface with QUIKRETE Concrete and also Asphalt Cleaner.
Step 3:
Systematically solve the repair zone after cleaning.
Step 4:
Unzip the re-sealable closure and also break the protective seal. Add 1 1/4 cups of clean water.
Step 5:
Squeeze the pouch to eliminate the excess air and then zip the pouch shut and knead the bag for about 3 minutes – until a lump-free reliability is gained.
Step 6:
Dampen the repair zone with water.
Step 7:
Build up the repair mortar in layers using the application trowel. The 1st layer should be pressed into the repair zone using firm trowel pressure.
Step 8:
Continue to construct and sculpt the repair mortar so that the surface of the repair is above the surrounding concrete.
Step 9:
Mold plus shape the repair mortar to match the contour of the surrounding concrete using the application trowel once the patch has become thumbprint hard.
